Heat Wave

Dear Family:

We've had so many days over 100 degrees this summer that we've had to revise our whole routine. After eating breakfast and putting on our clothes, we head out into the backyard while it is still cool. The kids jump on the trampoline while I read or pick raspberries and water the garden. It has been a wonderful relaxing way to begin the day. After lunch when the sun is bearing down, we go inside to begin our work. It seems to be a good method.

We enjoyed seeing Mom today as she is staying with Michelle to help out. Michelle has certainly appreciated all your love and support during this difficult time. We have a great family.

By now most of you probably know that we are expecting a boy for Thanksgiving day. Aubrey has taken the news quite well though she keeps asking if we are sure. The boys are in the middle of swimming lessons and doing great! Dallin has really gained confidence and Jacob is a little fish.

We are looking forward to the Hancock family reunion in August. I've made a logo to iron onto t-shirts so please bring one in your size when you come. Mom and Dad wanted black for the color but we will double check this week. We have a few pirate activities planned so if you want to help with the scavenger hunt or treasure hunt just let the parents know-or if you have any other great pirate activities. We will probably do some kind of talent show so come prepared.

I'm still enjoying tennis for as long as my body can handle it and Kyle has been golfing almost every week. He is going to sign up for a golf tournament next week. That about wraps it up for our family right now. We love you and look forward to seeing you soon.
